** The Official WWDC 2009 Thread **

The TomTom app looks really interesting.. but how accurate will it be? The exisiting GPS/Google maps has actually been really useful finding places in Liverpool but it can get inaccurate (i,e your position wont update for 5-10 secs etc)... I can imagine this wouldn't work with it very well..

There is a Sat Nav app already available, only if jailbroken though. You do not have to download maps on the go either, download cities/countries through ur pc, and it is suprisingly accurate. I used it on the way to school this morning.

Upgrading from Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.

If your Intel-based Mac is running Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, just purchase Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard when it’s available and follow the simple installation instructions.

Upgrading from Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger.

If your Intel-based Mac is running Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, purchase the Mac Box Set (when available), which is a single, affordable package that includes Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard; iLife ’09, with the latest versions of iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD; and iWork ’09, Apple’s productivity suite for home and office including Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

That to me sounds like you MUST have Leopard installed to install Snow Leopard (for the $29 price). No No No No No No No No No No No No!

So just a couple of differences then.

My Macbook also as backlit keyboard and glass multi touchpad. So basicly the 13" Macbook Pro as a better screen, SD card slot and FW800 over a Macbook. I would have thought it would have to have better graphics as well to deserve the tittle pro.

...and underneath the 17inch price click the Compare button. This then brings up a table with the differences between the Macbook and Macbook Pro range. One other (slight) difference I missed it seems is DDR3 in the Pro vs DDR2 in the non Pro.
