** The Official WWDC 2009 Thread **

Just been reading the o2 twitter page - apparently the 3G will stay at £342.50 for Pay & Go!
The price of the iPhone 3G on Pay & Go is going to be a small fortune me thinks... Bad move I say - More people will be tempted by the Palm Pre...

Biggest anti-climax since I lost my virginity.

Haha, made me chuckle. :D

I pity the guy who has to mop up afterwards :( shudder

Agreed, I was listening to the feed in the background and it was just typical of over-excited yanks watering at the gums cheering and getting too excited. They are exactly the same with Goverment elections and Golf. It's pathetic attention seeking and really ruined the live feed.

Question: What is Tethering?

I missed the first half or so of the Feed, but caught the 3GS anouncement, etc. The camera upgrade is good but I would have liked to of seen a flash in there, it's something I often miss from my old Sony Ericsson.
I will wait to see what o2 offer existing launch day 3G customers as an upgrade. Having a faster iPhone with better battery life, etc is certainly exciting but I'm not sure if I am willing to pay £200 for the pleasure.

Question: I took out the insurance with my iPhone when I got in on the launch day. I was anal about keeping it in its case until I dropped it. Sine then it's lived without it and has quite a few scratches and a largish crack. What's the o2 insurance like for this? It's basically just been dropped by accident and has damage but works fine.

lool. you didnt think it was going to be free did you

bandwidth costs money.

I would need more information to make an accurate comparison, but on Vodafone I pay £5 extra for 500MB Data/Month (their "unlimited" plan  ) but I can still do what I want with that which includes tethering my N95 8GB to my MacBook. Paying extra for just tethering is absolutely horrendous.
