2:55PM iTunes Match costs $24.99 per year.

2:55PM If any songs don't match they'll be uploaded for you. Anything that's matched is upgraded to 256Kbps AAC, without DRM.
 
He's already said music doesn't count towards that quota though

iTunes purchased doesn't count according to the slide. Most peoples music I would say isn't bought from iTunes.

Edit: I just saw the bit about "We give that music the same benefits as music purchased in iTunes."
 
I wonder who's going to be the brave person to trust their entire music library to Apple to free up hard drive space :D?

As expected - No new hardware.

Seems strange he hasn't mentioned what will happen with current MobileMe subscribers...
 
To be honest, for the HDD space it would save £25 a year isn't the end of the world – compared to Spotify or Last.fm (paid for) it's quite reasonable although I appreciate it doesn't give you access to music you don't already own.
