Store's down, so time to wait for the education discount and final pricing. If the new MBP starts at £1400~ - 15% off it's a buy, if it starts off at £2100 it's back to the drawing board!

Looks like MacPro, iMac, Mac Mini will be stealth updates with bumps as expected really.

IOS6 is probably due to headline. I know the new macbook pro is stunning but I always more enjoy updates for current Mac users.

Yep, like it constantly falling back to SMS.

I wish it did fall back to SMS and just send it, rather than just not deliver. Must go into settings and disable it, although it is nice when messgaes come up on iPad as well. Just wish that if it failed on I messenger, it would automatically try again as SMS.

With the Retina iPad you don't get any more icons on the screen, they just look clearer.

Ok, but this isn't an iPad. It's far more customizable.

With a laptop I'm so far away from it would make less of a difference.

Being able to fit a load more on the screen, view high res video or even photos 1:1 etc. is fantastic for most people.

But extra multitasking and moving things around to see it all would be annoying.

How so? You don't HAVE to have more on the screen, just use a larger font and scale the windows as you would normally.

The Macbook air is the Apple Laptop with a decent resolution for the screen size. The others all seem designed for blind people.

...How are more detailed screens designed for blind people? Quite the opposite.

You could buy a killer gaming desktop inc. monitor and a half decent laptop for that money.

I am selling my 13" Pro simply because my new iPad as replaced it oh and I need the money!

If your desperate for retina just get a iPad at quarter the price

Not an Apple criticism really. I just saw thousands of people have an orgasm over it on Twitter and came on here to see that it isn't really anything to go crazy about.

There was a trend on there along the lines of 'i7 and 16GB RAM' and everyone was acting as if that's some amazing thing never seen before.
