This has been years in the making, the roadmap to get this sort of stuff is massive.

We'll I'd expect this OS to be out in the fall, and he suggested people can go 'native' from day one.

I feel sorry for those who just dropped £2-3k on an new MB. A A12Z based system could be tiny in comparison.

The laptops will be interesting. Could have potentially amazing battery life but knowing apple, it will just be thinner and lighter.

He said new intel macs are also coming, guess that's the iMac and iMac pro refresh.

I'd expect this to start with an all new low power Macbook in the fall and scale up from there.

I suspect Gen1 will have some real teething problems, and I will probably wait until Gen2, but then again, let's see.

Thats what the rumours said. No pro models for now, just the standard macbook. Will be interesting to see how they work though because if they are better than the pros....
