Honestly I'm surprised by the pricing, I was expecting $5000 given the tech involved. $3500 means they're selling this at low margins.

Was quite impressed by the integration, especially ability to integrate it with macOS and create an infinite size virtual second monitor. Usability is miles ahead of any competitors, but so is the price :D Wasn't expecting any different from Apple though.

Gonna put away £100 a month for this for the next 3 years and then buy the second generation

I’m really looking forward to demoing this, although sounds like another 12 months or so before it hits the UK.
Still time to save up. It’s a huge price, but I know colleagues who spend the same on holidays or loads of Sonos gear.
This seems to be the closest to genuine AR, rather than VR, I’ve seen so far.
My only concern is how those special lenses for glasses wearers works, and the additional costs involved.

It's expensive and definitely needed to be cheaper for it to be another iPod/iPhone type product but, given that it does appear to be really well done and made, compared to what we've had in the past like the HoloLens, I don't think it'll be a flop especially if they can throw out cheaper models for the masses.

As said, I definitely want a go on one. Just a shame they delayed it further as it was originally delayed 'til Q3/4.

Yeah. Zeiss lenses are the most high-end stuff on the market anyway. Putting them in a normal spectacle can cost upwards of £500. Can't see Apple giving this away for free. I expect at least a £500 charge.

I have a really good idea for an app for the Vision Pro, but that is one hell of a price tag.
If I was the CEO of Emirates for example, I would install 4k 360degree cameras in all the A380s and design a custom app where you can look through the fuselage in real time. Combine that with AR style landmark tags would be epic.

Honestly wouldn't even be that difficult to implement, really trivial but super cool.

Airplane passenger simulator 2000. Enjoy the experience of flying in your own home.

Combine with Hilton hotel simulator (with adult film pack) for the full business trip experience

Willing to bet next iPhones will have 3D video cameras so you can record on iPhone and immerse yourself on VisionPro later on. Maybe even some generative AI stuff to create a virtual environment similar to what you recorded.
