Pro Vision : These look amazing - however I’ll wait for gen2.
Apple always holds back some key features on firstgen tech.

Likely the screen refresh rate will be slow/not optimised, short battery life and some other features with restricted specs..

Yeah. Zeiss lenses are the most high-end stuff on the market anyway. Putting them in a normal spectacle can cost upwards of £500. Can't see Apple giving this away for free. I expect at least a £500 charge.
That would be Swarovski lenses. Havnt seen Zeiss come out with anythjbg worth their price in the last 30 years. Lecia do much better job as well.

The big question is, do we all buy Vision Pro or wait for Vision Pro MAX?

Or maybe Vision Air? Or even Vision Air Max (Nike edition).

Looks pretty amazing, and I’m not surprised at the price given the level of technology involved. But at £2400 it’s going to be reserved for very few people. Of course, apple finance does exist…

Be interesting to see where this gets with the second or third iteration, if they can get the cost down. With apples ecosystem it has the potential to change how people consume media etc more than any other competing device I think.
100%. This thing is totally different to Meta Quest IMHO. It is literally a new paradigm in how to consume computing. I don't have to sit at my desk anymore! I can just sit at a lovely table over looking a new view and be 100% productive.

Have you used a quest? Because this is exactly what you can already do VR wise. The AR aspect is cool but functionally the quest can already let you sit there and be productive.

Somethingsomething metaverse. The firework went off, everyone lost interest. It is in the bucket with the Sinclair C5 IMHO.

I see it as a way to work from anywhere. Open up my laptop and immediately have a huge screen. Not having a screen is a big productivity setback. If £3500 can fix that, it's a no-brainer.

Of course, it needs to be usable, i.e. lightweight and not tiring to use.

Quest doesn't have the software and platform ecosystem around it. Also the hardware is just poor. Slow chip, poor performance, poor display. Obviously much cheaper, too.

The resolution on the quest isn't good enough for the room sized excel spreadsheets I want

Never used a quest and it doesnt appeal to me. Looking at reviews, th eQuest looks like an infants toy compared to the, I doubt i will be buying a vision pro first gen but build qualty seems infinitly betterm functionality compared to quest is just off teh chart and those clunky cheap looking plastic controllers on teh quest are just nasty. I cant afford one now and think its proper expensive and i font cyrrently have any Apple products but if you like tech there is no way you can find anything to complain about teh Vision Pro (other then price). It appears years ahead of the rest
