The shutdown depends on what you have set in your power options. AFAIK, nothing's changed. Have you got it set to "energy saving" or "instant on"?

Xbox always used to do a full shutdown from holding down the Xbox button on the pad and selecting Turn off. Since the update it goes into Instant On mode. I think when I checked in the Power Options it was set to Energy Saving.

It's really odd. It was fine when the other large update happened that changed the dashboard - console would fully power down from controller however, the update yesterday has changed what its doing.. I'll double check later when I'm home from work.

Well it's not doing that on mine. :p Mine is always on energy saving mode because the fan noise keeps me awake at night otherwise. And I always turn it off using the Xbox button on the pad.

It could be that MS changed the default power state to instant on but I don't remember changing it back recently. And I'm sure if they did that, it would breach the EU's guidelines which is why they ask you which option you want during setup. I think the Americans always get instant on by default.

Probably a Layer 8 issue at play here! :p I'll double check later for my sanity and report back.

Cheers.

Just found out I can now play BluRays and have the audio sent my amp now. I have HD audio.. woohoo. About time too. I just tested Heat and the amp has that lovely blue light on it. That light is sexy. Not tried anything with DTS master yet. I will do that later when little one is in bed.

Edit: funny thing is I re-arranged the living room yesterday and omitted two of my speakers so now I only have 5.1. Guess now I have HD audio I will have to re-route the wires for the other 2 speakers.

Anyone got access? i have enjoyed this game so far :)

I got in the tech alpha in the first wave, obviously cant talk about it cause of the NDA but its coming along nicely.

Recent waves make me feel like a tutor everytime I log on cause you get some new people who don't know how to play, but it has grown my friends list like no other game has.

Looks like they updated the May games slightly early, just grabbed the Giana sisters although stars wars wasn't free yet.

Ok thanks, i'm downloading Ryse: Son of Rome which also expires April 30th, can't see Giana Sisters yet, not sure if this is true or not but i read on avforums some people having problems downloading free xbox 360 games on XBLG if they've never used their gamertag on an actual xbox 360 console before.

I searched for Giana sisters to find it. I'd already grabbed AC like I do every month when I see them up regardless of if I'll play them or not.

Yes just searched for Giana Sisters and downloading now, great game, played it on PC, yeah i should have downloaded AC Revelations earlier and not left it last minute, is it worth buying when it's on sale?

I'm not sure tbh. I found the series a bit samey after a while. I started black flag and never finished it. Can probably get it on disk for a few £ these days.

Was watching a bluray and checked the output info on my LG B6, I could not see any 24p icon, does it not display on the xbox one, it could just be my B6 does not show this?
