Disappointing about no PC demo but I'm not too bothered, the full game will be out real soon now. I'm guessing the PC demo will probably end up coming out after the full release in that case?

Can't say i blame them though, laughable that this "big" announcement was for one platform only (and they never informed anyone that it was 360 only), and apparently the pc version of this game was held back so they could do a simaltanious release. :rolleyes:

I really think 2k are spreading the bs out there on this one, think its pretty obvious ms wanted the demo to be exclusive to the 360 for some kind of time period.
 
The statement about the PC release being held back for simultaneous console release was unfounded and completely untrue. In actual fact, the PC version has generally lagged behind the console version due to the console version needing to be submitted in it's final form to microsoft earlier. As such, the PC version will actually be more 'polished' then the console version in final release and will contain the options for turning off loot glint/etc.

I doubt it, its not out on a PS3 and besides PC V 360 is a different scale of war all together.

The PC only features were mentioned in the PC Gamer review. I will have to check it later when I get home. PC Gamer gave the game 95% so I don't think there is any danger of this being a washout "also ran" alongside a better console sibling. If anything I get the impression they have spent time on producing a quality product that will really do the PC justice. Anyone who has played a 360 on a large screen telly will know straight away that they can't touch a pc when it comes to quality of graphics. The level of AA and AF is not a patch on even a medium spec pc and the autoaim feature for gamepads freaks takes away much of the enjoyment of many of the games. I love my 360 but it will never replace my PC as number 1 gaming platform in my household that is for sure. PC tears it a new ***hole every time.
 
Does anyone know how well this runs on the 8800 / 2900 ?

Torn between a 8800 gts 640 or a 360.

If it looks any better on the 360 then i've had it for pc gaming.

It has Directx10, the PC renders at higher resolutions, you can force higher levels of AA.

It's obvious what'll look better.
 
Hopefully should have some Info from Liz (Community Manager) very soon today on the PC Demo. As for last night it was crazy people were slanting 2k to the high heavens :D :eek: . I even had to bust out the popcorn :p

Because not everyone has an 8800GTX

It'll look better on my projector and big sound system while kicking back on the sofa with a pad ;)

Can't be dealing with this huncing over a desk, keyboard and mouse stuff anymore - too much like work :)

You dont need a GTX to get better graphics than the 360, most pc gamers already play at higher resolutions than a majority of 360 games are (1280x1024 for example is higher rez than 720p).

As for detail i reckon the 320 GTS will fly in dx10 mode at resolutions upto 1680x1050. Although as you only have a 6600GT i can see why your jelous :P
