No the game will be good

I'm just commenting on the launch.

Many people on the 360 have already finsihed the game as there was a pirated copy released a week ago,

and here we are squabbling for bandwidth just to get the pc demo.

ridiculous tbh.

Thats coz bioshock actally runs decent in DX10 with the 8800 series and also DX9. Those games you mentioned were all just rushed tbh.

Quite honestly, Crysis is going to be techically brilliant, but as a game I very much doubt it will better Bioshock.

you fail to see the bigger picture. not a lot of people have G80 hardware which is top end right now.
some people still have 9800pro;s.

a game like farcry or halflife 2 runs on a gts320 at 1920x1200 with loads of AA slapped on and can still deliver 60fps.

iv not played the bioshock demo yet! but from what people are saying about it, getting 20fps on a gts320 at 1400x900 it sure as hell sounds like rainbow 6 vegas to me.

ill download the demo in a bit then run it against rainbow 6 vegas and see how the performance is, but from what ive been reading so far, i was right all along about the unreal engine 3, its a load of crap.
 
Seriously though, I've been after a decent game for Months... even since xmas when I got my 8800 GTX.

Since then nothing at all, has made me justify buying the card, no game has held my attention for long. I'm hoping this will be it.

Gonna go to work in a min, and hopefully i will have the demo by the morning. :)

How the hell can you compare 2004 games like HL2 and Farcry to Bioshock? :rolleyes:

Its in a different league matey.

Performance on newer hardware will be adequate but not the best.

As the next gen hardware comes out the performance will improve, Not many games have had excellent performance on release day.

What don't you understand about Vegas being a badly coded port job and using the UE3 engine very poorly at that?.

Good coding and optimization goes along way in PC games, Bioshock is them.

Ofcourse 8800's etc probably won't get constant 60+ FPS but what's wrong with that? I myself can't see a difference between 60 and 40.

I'll be happy as long as it runs at 30-40fps.

Comparing how this runs to HL2 and FarCry is idiotic. You do remember how long ago it was when those games came out, don't you? You do see the difference in graphics quality between the games, don't you?

The 9800 pro was released FOUR years ago.

He's obviously biased, performance has been through the roof with people maxing the game at 1280x1024 with X1950XT's for christ sake.

A guy at 2K forums was getting well over 60FPS on his 8800GTS 320MB, he had 80 in some areas at 1280x1024 maxed out. (Fraps screenshots with FPS marker on)
 
Just played through demo seems good had a few pauses some noticeable slowdown but nothing bad, it did say there was issues with my nvidia driver,but ive got the latest from nvidia site.

ran on a e6600 8800gtx 2gig ram.

I'd run driver cleaner and reinstall them, might clear it up.
