According to ati it needs to be on

A. CrossFire enables performance gains in all 3D applications by default. In addition, games and other 3D applications are profiled in the ATI Catalyst™ driver for additional performance enhancements. This is managed by the Catalyst A.I. that should always be enabled. Ensure that you have Catalyst Control Center installed for optimal control. In the rare event that the an application hasn't yet been profiled in Catalyst Control Center, additional performance gains in the majority of titles can be achieved by setting the Catalyst A.I. setting to 'aggressive'.

Ok this is Very strange and inconsistant, Reinstalled the demo with crossfire on and all is well...well meaning the game runs and the game responds to FSAA etc

Seems the installer presets a few settings in the background, so that is why crossfire would work when it essentially was turned off on the first install.

Look Mr Bubbles its an angel! :D

Played this so many times on 360. I gave the demo a spin on PC and it looks as nice on my 1950XT. Runs alright too from 40 to 90+ fps. Mouse and keyboard is so much nicer to play with. I might have to go PC for this one.

TBH i was a sceptic of this game, but after just playing through the demo it is AWSOME!, and that is coming from someone who really doesnt like FPS games :D

Decided to download the demo.

Getting it form techpowerup.

Ill set my alarm for 4am then. :)
i got it off Steam, it only took half an hour.

FSAA certainly seems to work in XP with the new 163.44 driver as long as you choose the "override any application setting" option in the driver profile.

8xAA with 16xAF is a good compromise for performance/IQ with all in game options at highest.

Give us some comparison shots then..

Well, I just played the PC demo and I definitely prefer it over the 360 version but there were a shed load of artifacts due to my X1900XT which has been slowly dying over the last few months. The framerate was perfectly fine though, staying anywhere from 35-60fps! I just bought an 8800GTS and canceled my 360 copy for a PC version instead :D

Well, I've just been messing around doing that, it seems you get the performance hit but not the AA.

Oddly though, using the new drivers the game seems a lot less "Jaggy" than the previous ones I had installed. I was playing earlier and the jaggies were really annoying me to the point I nearly gave up playing it.

I'd reinstall the previous drivers and do some comparison shots but I really cba at 3AM. :p

Just had some little moron spoil the game for me over on the official forums. Knew I should have stayed off ffs do these kiddies get off spoiling the game for others im really ****ed oh well I can still see how the plot unfolds etc.

I played at 1920x1440 as 22" CRT and 4:3, I killed V-Sync and got no less then 70FPS at any point, could not work out how to get Fraps to save a report for later use. :(

Vista Ult 64 with E6850 @ 3.8GHZ, 2GB Memory, 8800Ultra @ 700/2400

Latest Nvidia Beta for this game.

Set Driver to High Quality and Supersampling AA ON.

Every part scores 5.9 in Vista apart from CPU which is 5.8, thats inc 1 RaptorX, aint got both Raided since new build, CPU should get 5.9 once I cool better and hit 4GHZ.
