praise be, i started polishing my assault rifle when i heard there might be one :eek:
 
anyone else getting a bit of tearing without vsync on, 19" crt ere @ 1600x1200, kind of a bummer really, hope there is a fix

Nah, that's not true. If I enjoy a demo, I'll likely buy the full game. If there's no demo, I'll pirate it - then if I like it a lot I'll buy it.

If I there's people out there buying the game in another country, I know it's available to download illegally. If I can't buy it but I know it's available elsewhere, being the impatient guy I am - I'll take that alternative.

But once I've pirated it, I'll have to like the game a lot to actually buy it (and even then I might think 'whats the point' and not buy it). But if I've played a demo and liked it, then I'll go buy it.

Basically, releasing it somewhere else first will make me more likely to pirate it - so less likely to buy it. And I'm sure there's plenty of similar people to me as far as that's concerned..!

I'm just about to put in my pre-order on the xbox 360 version, so I'm paying for the game on at least one platform :) I think I'm going to prefer playing it on the 360...

{I know pirating's bad but I'm not going to pretend I don't do it occasionally}

The ones with the red dots next to them are pirated, and they're all games I spend no time playing. The others are legitimately owned :)

I don't endorse pirating, though. Hence I pay for games I enjoy - but really, you should download a demo to find out if you enjoy a game, not pirate it... :o
 
the demo is crashing for me just where you enter the city and and says you cant save it , as the screen goes black i get that error box and back to desktop

How do you run duke 3d? Is it exactly how it would play on win 9X?

Just downloading bioshock now. its slowed from 190kbps to around 100 :(
