How do you guys reckon it would run on an X1800XT 256Mb? bare in mind ive got a 2407WFP and would like to run it as close to optimal res as poss.

I get 20-30fps average on an X1800XT 256mb on 1440x900 res all on high.



Runs smooth. I'm not sure if you up the res a bit more tho.

Ive just been playing it.

I can only say one thing:

OH MY ****** GOD!!!

Its beautiful, its scary, mysterious.

I got shivers within 2 mins of playing.

And im surprised it runs smoothly on high, 1280x1024 on my AM SD 3700+, 7800gt!

No idea what fps are but it runs completely smooth.

AA does work.

It's gonna need a patch though or some kinda hotfix/workaround to get it working 'properly' I guess, at least we know it is possible.

From the Aircraft to the point where the bathosphere rises up:

Min:40
Avg:66.9
Max:118

From the bathosphere to the elevator:

min:44
Avg:61.5
Max:110

From the elevator to the splicer next to the cradle.

min:35
Avg:54.9
Max:111

Thats at 830/970 not 862/970 as bioshock was corrupting at my usual clocks (every other game works fine), not entirely bothered if it means i have to downclock 30mhz to play it.

That was absurdly good fun. Has to be one of the the most atmospheric games I've ever played - evoked its period brilliantly, and that was only the demo. Superb.

its the beginning, pretty easy to notice from the screenshots.

I.e you're not inside but outside near a plane crash

Should do yeah, gonna have to wait for a workaround though or perhaps the full game will work with AA forced in drivers.

Ran smooth as silk on my 8800 gts 640mb no slowdown or anything
but can only do 1600-1200 maxed out on this crt.
Also i could bind the keys just fine got none of the reserved key business.
I presume that's just F1 and F2 etc then.

I've just done the demo with everything maxed out on an 8800gtx and x3210 @ 12x10, smooth as silk, looked fantastic and has some of the best gameplay since hl2
