The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

have it here as well, came this morning, noticed something bizarre, regarding what someone said earlier, im sure its GPU limited, did some messing with my GTS and the CPU increases as i clock my GTS higher and higher, is that supposed to happen, doesn't go up by much but definately up

Anyone had any luck importing saved games from the demo? Can't be bothered to run through the bit I've already done again. I copied the save files over and it loads but... I've got no gun and cant pick anything up.

Johnson: Why was quad not used in the final build of the game, and when can we expect to see it utilized in the game?
Cevat: The game does use quad-core but you won't see the benefit without a good GPU.

Well a lot of people here have quads and 8800 gtx\ultras, does cervat want us to pull unreleased r700's and nv9800's out of our asses or something? Already been reading a few rumours that the super smooth gameplay movies were done using a next gen card.

Anyone playing this on an Old Grandid rig like mine and if so what sort of performance are they getting?

No idea what FPS I'm getting but its running surprisingly well for me on my modest little system at a res on my 19" widescreen of 1440x900 iirc.

My system is XP, Core 2 Duo [email protected], 1Gb DDR400 and a Leadtek A400TDH 6800 card.

I didnt touch any graphics settings once it installed, apart from bumping the res up. I had actually anticipated it would be totally unplayable but that was way of the mark.

Excellent game so far, I'm liking it lots. :)

Whatever about us and our current high end hardware, I'm wondering how EA intends to sell this to the AVERAGE PC owner? It must surely be awful on anything less than an 8800

So, who actually achieved this level of realism? ;) Sure as hell doesn't look anythink like my Crysis.

I'm having real trouble on the deck of the ship holding back the aliens. How long do I have to last for? Is there anywhere in particular I'm meant to go?

Well my copy arrived and ill eat my hat it runs amazing. I dont know what fps im getting but its absolutly smooth with everything on very high and no AA, at a guess i would say about 40-60 fps all the time:)

Its definitely smoother with the newer nvidia drivers. im running an dual core opty at 2.8GHz, 2GB RAM and a 8800 GTX. It runs fine with everything on high; im currently playing with everything on very high with shadows and post processing on high, and its still runs approx 25fps (although i dont know the command to display fps). thats at 1280x1024 with no AA and on vista 32. My 24 inch monitor comes tomrrow so ill test it on that too. If it seems the GTX is coming into its own now im glad i got it over the GT :)

Oh and this is a quality game :)
