The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

Ouch when did you get the GTX? It's pretty much the same performance wise as the GT even at 1920x1200. (Talking 3-5 frames difference, if that)

I got it a few weeks before the GT came out (for a decent price), but a few frames difference means a lot in this game, since it hovers around the 25fps mark. Tbh if we are going to run this game as it was intended then we will all have to fork out for a 9800. im just thinking to reinstall xp to play this game on my 24inch beast arriving tomorrow!

I'm having real trouble on the deck of the ship holding back the aliens. How long do I have to last for? Is there anywhere in particular I'm meant to go?

Is that the aircraft carrier you mean?.

Best place I found was to head out the door, turn right and run over to the sort of "blast shield" for the aircraft engines on the deck.

Hide behind that and poke your head out every so often to hit the incoming hostiles, watching both left and right as they tend to approach from both sides at certain stages. You dont have to last for that long although I'm not sure if ifts on some sort of "timer" or whether it ends when you kill a certain amount of hostiles.

IS SLI ISSUE FIXED YET? FOR VISTA x64?

No, I dont think it will be for a while either, just use the 32bit exe file for now until they work out how to enable SLI in 64bit. Would be nice since the 64bit version is definitely faster than the 32.

Even with my 2 GTX's, I can't get 1920x1200 smooth with very high, even if I run DX9 and use the config to give me the pseudo v.high I get dips into the teens. Don't see me running at 2560x1600 until I get the next gen cards.

I can't get the benchmarks to work properly with the full game. If I press escape during the benchmark look there's no menu so I have to end the process via the task manager if I want to exit before it ends. Also, I can't find where the results are being logged. The benchmark_gpu and benchmark_cpu text files that were used with the demo are no longer updated with the benchmarks that I run now.

I feel sorry for peoppe who upgraded to dual gpu's just for this game, at the moment sli and crossfire give virtually zero improvement. What gets on my nerves though is crytek constantly blabbering about how multi core and multi cpu's would be a way to get great performance out of this game and the game was designed with this in mind. Sure as hell doesn't look like it in the final product.
