Just got my copy and installed. Never really tweaked the demo but I'd like to get this running optimally as I'm playing. Firstly, should I run DX9 or DX10? I'm going to be tweaking a custom config once I've decided which mode to run. On my 8800GTX will I be able to see as much candy through DX9 with tweaks as the DX10 mode, but with a greater frame rate? Cheers.

do you have daemon tools or something similar installed? if so uninstall them

Had them and uninstalled them. Still didn't fix it. Don't have any Virtual Drives running. If i use a certain exe that lets me play without a cd, then it works fine. Just if i try and use the exe that it came with, it doesn't work.

Ive completed it now. They have left the game wiiiiide open for a sequal or an expansion pack. Im not the dissapointed with the story only the way the game ran, and the fact i didnt get to see a proper nuke go off like some of the tech videos shown.

Yeah i got the special edition as well. Not checked out the extra stuff yet, but just finished it and OMG at the ending. I just hope the sequel doesn't take as long to get released.

Ok which page is the hack for DX10 graphics on a DX9 system on.

Set everything on high (very high greyed out) and went on a rampage, to be greeted halfway round by some rather flat and uninteresting rocks.

Do the tweaks for the demo work the same in the full game? (I deleted the demo now as I was running short on disc space) so could do with a link to those files again.
