The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

i have a very interesting problem atm.

i use the logetch revolution mouse, which, as some of you will know doesn't have the traditional middle click, i get around this by using the seach button as the middle click (programmed in setpoint) now, yesterday this was working fine, but when i load crysis up today it does bugger all, yet it still works for things like firefox. it's most infuriating, anyone ot any idea why it's doing this?

Not many houses have middle click now anyway, its all mouse wheels in the middle what you can click :s

I had the Rev too (back to my MX1000 now) but the same solution works.

Set the button as:

mouse.png


Should work fine thereafter! I have the button below the middle mouse button set as my middle mouse button as my MX1000 middle mouse button is too stiff and this is how I use it in Crysis!

Also disable "game detection" in the game tab in Setpoint too.

I would question any architect who put a middle click on a house!

which is a click, in the middle of two other clicks? correct me if i'm wrong you pedant :p

and mrk, thats what i've said i've done, it's been fine like that since i got the mouse, and was fine with crysis yesterday, but for some reason today it's not having any of it

Is there something wrong with the mouse wheel acting as middle click too? :confused:, its what I'm used to, cant get a new mouse coz there all right handed :rolleyes:

Mousewheel is perfectly fine, the issue is when you click the middle wheel in it's so stiff that you also end up side scrolling as the wheel has a left and right click too :D - the last mx1000 I had had a soft wheel click so did not have this issue, this new mx1000 does though but not a real prob as I never use the cruise buttons and in fact find it more handy having the middle mouse button mapped to the cruise down button!
 
The helicopters on this game drive me potty. They know where you are all the time. You could be 100 foot underwater and they'd still know where you are. The cloak has no effect either, they still follow you - just hold their fire until you decloak. Damn hard to kill unless you've got rocket launchers too
 
Using a config on here I'm getting between 20-30 fps even on the snow levels with lots of alien action. All on High with Motion Blur on "2" it looks SUPERB.

I'm well chuffed, my GTX must have been dodgy because my GT is doing so much better performance wise.
 
** How To Fix "Server Authentication Failed" **

1. Close alll instances of Crysis
2. Insert your DVD
3. Navigate to dvd:\tools\ (ie. D:\tools)
4. Execute Crysis_Code.exe
5. Enter your cd-key
6. Start the game

Found this, it helped me, hope it helps someone else too.

Does it look as good as the config I'm using in the non snow areas?
 
Well, now that I have finished, I feel a little let down. I kind of feel like we were only given half a game. They should have seen the story through to its conclusion!

While I am at it, may as well voice my other annoyance - I don't mind that the game is demanding and that it can not be maxed. What I do mind is that it does not maintain its performance levels. First on Paradise lost I had to drop to medium. Then on the Carrier at the end I had to drop to low for the final battle to be smooth. That is just really stupid to me.

Sigh. And was enjoying it so much until the end. Leaves a bitter taste.

I only had a quick blast but it looked just like default High on the snow areas tbh, maybe a bit darker and more vivid.

Will check later but really I promised I'd restart the game now I can actually play it without <20 fps. :p

I am stuck on the Relic chapter.

I need to Proceed to the excavation site but I can't seem to get anywhere near it and end up going round in circles, LOL can anyone help before I go insane.
