Can someone explain what the deal with speakers corner is and why I keep seeing it randomly brought up into conversation by our conservative brothers on this forum ?

This isn’t exclusive to our conservative members, but it’s definitely more common among them.

Usually they’re simply people who are not used to being asked to substantiate their poor arguments; and my guess would be that being expected to do so makes them feel a little uncomfortable.

Presumably they find it easier to attack those who debate there than to honestly confront the fact that their arguments have been trivially exposed and refuted by the forum’s regulars, so frequently.

It would be fairly trivial to debunk that claim by simply posting an example of an exchange between you and I, but this thread isn’t the place for it.

Many people pointing out the flaws in your arguments, doesn’t indicate a hive mind; it simply suggests that your arguments are poor and their flaws are plentiful.

I suspect that having those flaws exposed is what you dislike.
