The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

If I had to make a somewhat silly suggestion that is totally within the ability of Musk's personality to think up... the whole 'joke' was his idea.

Maybe, though it's in a different league to the sink thing, his new title as "Chief Twit" or his beloved Babylon Bee's usual material.

No, occupy Democrats want to push the other social site and have found a way to.

It will work in enough to get some users using this tribal social, which is what they will need at this point given it probably has 10 users including staff

I thought all the lefty types were happy Musk was forced into to buying it, what happened to make them go a bit crazy?

They think Musk has changed the moderation rules (he hasn't, and he's publicly admitted this).

To be fair, a lot of the righty types believe this too.

Ahh right, I know the women that appeared with Jack Dorsey on Rogan's show is gone but I do find it amusing that folks are sperging out.

The reports are Vijaya Gadde was sacked and left the building crying her eyes out. She was Twitter's head of legal policy and trust and by all accounts was judge and jury of what could and couldn't be said on the platform.

Her sacking and reaction to Musk's take over reminds of the Sidney Poitier movie In the Heat of the Night. Anyone who has seen the film will remember the scene where Mr Tibbs slaps the local land Barron who starts crying after realising all the power he used over his staff to have has vanished.

I'll need evidence for 'crying her eyes out', please.

As a lawyer and Twitter's chief legal advisor, Gadde was naturally involved in a few significant moderation decisions, but she was absolutely not the sole arbiter of what the platform permitted.

Gadde earned $24 million in 2 years (not including her severance package) so losing her job at Twitter is unlikely to cause her any sleepless nights.

I think the "ha ha he's going to be forced to buy it, he didn't really want it" stuff was cope, lots of these people really didn't want him to buy it.

The silly thing is he's not even changed any rules yet and he's not about to turn it into some alt-right social network overnight, he's setting up a committee etc. to decide on permanent suspensions, moderation etc.

Regardless, even though the rules haven't yet changed, expect a bunch of press stories to now come out about all the vile hate on Elon's twitter.
