The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Well Caracus2k will be happy Musk is now spreading the story Paul Pelosi was actually in some Tinder date gone bad. This is the same publication that said Hilary Clinton was dead and replaced by a body double before her debate with Trump. And of course the right are joyful and it just reinforces their belief this story is true. This is why putting a troll in charge of Twitter was such a bad idea. No attempt to calm things down, no, just throw a lorry load of petrol on the fire and stand back and watch.

I guess people are probably skeptical about this story given how close it is to the mid-terms, the fact CNN were linking it to January 6th and trying to make it Political, and the fact that the whole Jussie Smollett thing happened

I honestly can't tell if he's an idiot or mocking what is almost certainly an entirely automated thing.

I suspect their computer system has a host of fully automated processes that happen the moment someone is entered into the system depending on their department, so along with a new employee getting things like issued a company log in, access card (with differential access depending on job), they probably get a host of other things like "you need to do X" and "you need to do Y" (and anyone in management is probably given a course/information on how Twitter expects them to work).
Given he seems to have fired most of the senior management there probably wasn't anyone left to tell the system to make an exception for him.

Yeah why would someone who has got sucked into the MAGA/Qanon world decide to try and kill the Speaker in the middle of the 2nd most politically charged climate in US election cycles? A time where Republican candidates. the leader of the Republican Party and the right messaging platforms are attacking Pelosi on a daily basis.

The reason it is spoken about in regards to Jan 6th is because they were chanting they'd kill Pelosi and were actively looking for her. It is political, the man was looking for Nancy, not her husband and when he realised he was about to get apprehended he tried to kill him.

So because 1 person cried wolf then every case of political violence is someone crying wolf by default

So instead of believing the reporting from police they instead jump on some conspiracy that its a gay night gone bad? And you criticise the left for being loons :cry:

I think he's an attention whore who is reveling in mocking the previous management for likes. His other companies may well have some similar system, I wouldn't be surprised if companies over a certain size have to carry out certain programs for staff.

Citation for him being sucked into the MAGA/Qanon world please

Sounds about right. All the big corps iv worked for have a similar system...paired with an often ultra cringe message.

He should be happy they have these processes in place and seemingly working well for new employees, instead hes mocking it online??? Who's he trying to impress here? The unemployed?

He's an ass.

Because it's true? I mean we have proof with this very forum, someone with pretty much zero Twitter footprint had tried to organise a dogpile because forum members don't believe someone can magically change sex and mods bowed down to them..

Lol it’s the type of reactionary culture war nonsense that grifters sell to the absolute stupidest members of society.

Seriously? I'd ask of you have an internet connection but clearly you do.

I can't see the blog, this is just a news story claiming things.

To be clear though, I'm glad Nancy Pelosi's husband doesn't seem seriously injured, violence is abhorrent, political violence should be considered terrorism. It may very well be that this guy is a Qanon nutter, but I do want to see the actual evidence not just what the news is reporting. The news reporting in America is paid for and laughably biased.

I think it's more "look I can make a story about how wasteful twitter was and how much better I will make it and then it'll get loads of reweets by people who are desperate to share these sort of stories"

You only have to look at how many of Elon's tweets are being posted now in this thread and by which users to see there's a subtle "I'm glad Elon is sticking it to the liberals (even when he isn't)" sort of vibe going on.

Peak Elon, although has to be said I do hate these types of tweets that both the left and right do where they find maybe one or two tweets and then say things like 'elons fans' as if they are all doing it.

Granted its probably accurate for the weirdo types like @catturd2, but it's still a bit disingenuous.

Why would he delete it? He owns the company now, no one can censor him. If he believed in the tweet 2 hours ago he should stand by it now. What a coward.

Yeh, it's amusing to see all the usual suspects do it.

I dunno, it would be quite a ballsy and amusing move for a Twitter employee to have censored it or perhaps added the fake news or context warning note to it. If he's not officially changed twitter rules (yet) then...

I can see him getting involved in too much stuff voicing opinions and getting in trouble for it.

Watch….
I wonder how secure users personal messages are now from twitter staff/Elon.

Like Elon can now just go read every twitter message ever sent to and form trumps account?

He could find out a lot of vulnerable information
