Did he have this fantasy that he'd just created a glorious work environment after his initial few weeks of trashing the place, trashing the workforce and running his mouth on twitter.
dood if he clan sleep on the Tesla factory floor why can't his employees? he doesn't understand he has an invested reason to and his employees are just workers.

didn't he also admire the chinese workers in china burning he "midnight oil" lol aka working 14hour days or whatever and sleeping on site, only leaving at weekends or whatever so basically like work prisons.

I bet in private hes like "but ze efficiency auf die konzentration kamps habe never been sehen since ww2"

That is something I deal with a lot..

There are a lot of owners that struggle with why staff don't show more 'committment', the simple concept of, "If you put in 100% commitment 24/7 you get hundreds of millions, if I put the same in, I get a basic salary, not see my family and don't get to enjoy life..."

They're not thick, it's a longstanding principle in business that firing a bunch of employees will increase the share price.

There's a difference between removing some of the bloat that companies acquire over time by modestly reducing the workforce in a way that is carefully planned, and planning to fire three quarters of an already small company.

Totally. It was well known within the industry that Twitter had an excess of software engineers, but as it turns out the rest of the departments were very necessary.

So that's a very different story.

Doesn't matter. Investors love to see sackings, because it improves the profit margin. And that's exactly what Musk promised to do.

any good company has an ongoing KPA ranking of employees - ready for any strength reduction.

Parody quality needs to be improved with some deep fake videos - words on twitter are easy

Elon Musk literally running Twitter to the ground. 75% of Twitter employees could walk after this "hardcore" ultimatum. 6D Chess indeed.

lol...this is a joy to watch, but feel for the peeps being laid off, for basically doing their job, which on the most parts their positions seemed essential to run the thing.
Wasnt Twitter overall a pretty small company considering?
