The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Eh? How did I ignore your post, I did what you asked

So now you want me to answer? like I said you can't be consistent, now not even within one post <LMAO>

Anyway, the person you were denigrating before as bang average intelligence and their educational and business achievements were no indicator (as you now have to scramble and say its physics degrees that count ) had 3 degrees, one of them a distinction from Stanford.

As katie pointed out earlier

You were just being silly...or emotional. What was it, time of the month?

Oh so now we've moved from petty homophobia to sexism, you'll be telling me how I'm a racist next. I wasn't denigrating anyone, in the post you quoted I made a general point that having a degree doesn't make someone intelligent.

To clarify:

Does having a degree mean you are intelligent? No, obviously not.

Does having a degree in a difficult STEM subject mean you are certainly very likely to be intelligent? Yes.

Those are really simple points which I stand by, they are in no way contradictory.

Are you all so excited this morning and getting yourselves worked up because Trump was unbanned or something?

Well, I guess at least we've established that the stuff about him lying about his degrees has just come from some random Twitter anon who hasn't read his source material properly and wasn't aware of BA degrees in Physics (ditto to the OCUK poster who accepted the claim).

So perhaps better to conclude that Elon is pretty smart (two Ivy league undergrad degrees (Physics + Economics) + accepted into a PhD program at Stanford), has actually achieved some success and most of the complaints are because of his views or his dumb tweets etc.

There's plenty to criticise without needing to rely on made-up nonsense, I'm sure he's going to carry on with silly tweets, he's got a heck of a lot of risk here having massively overpaid for the company, taken on debt and lost ad revenue, he's probably going to face some employment tribunals in the UK and EU if he actually has sacked people for not signing up to his mission. There's also technical risk in doing what he's done re: cutting staff, twitter is a big complicated system... it could fail and they're running on a skeleton staff right now while also trying to build. That isn't to say that that management style won't work, he's run several companies quite successfully and become the richest man in the world after all but the risk is real here and as he's overpaid it will be much harder to get a good pay off from this.

Well he's definitely smart, very smart, even with a rich dad he still got to be the richest man in the world.

He is in my opinion also on the spectrum, his lack of a conscience very much points to that.

Elon is not a nice man, but he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him and enjoys other peoples misery and needs to be needed so he can lord it over all his "minions"

We would be slaves to corporate will in the sense that we would only be able to say things that are deemed "advertiser friendly".
You make it sound like there’s some shady cabal of advertisers setting moral standards for the worlds, but that’s not how it works at all. Advertisers decide what speech is acceptable for them to be associated with based on the wants of their customers. No one is a ‘slave’ to corporate will.

There is definitely a set of values being instilled by corporations and the media on the Western public. I don't know if it's a shady cabal, but there is a "message" being pushed on us.
