The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

And this is what I feel will be Elon's biggest fail.

I actually have been shocked at all the failings he's caused so far, could never have dreamed of them back 6 months ago, but the one I expected was the issue that he will face once he reinstates banned accounts.

The issue being that now there is a new limit, and many of those accounts before were only posting to the limit because the limit existed, but now there is a much higher limit as to what they can do, if not an unlimited amount.

Once kanye west starts posting "gassing the **** was actually a good thing" what happens then.

The blame will be placed 100 percent at Elon's feet. The world knew what kanye was like, they banned him already for this actions, so it's not going to be a surprise that kanye comes back and says the same offensive or even worse stuff.

And so what happens in the news? This will he big when trump indicates another attempted coup via twitter, or when kanye tells a Jewish person they should be (insert offensive remark), advertisers will hate this and hate seeing twitter in top news for this sort of thing.

How then does Elon solve that problem? How does Tesla feel about that problem, when Elon is blamed for it, and Tesla = Elon.

This to me is the biggest issue Elon will make for himself.

Kanye West doesn't want to gas Jews, he says some stupid **** but Lex challenges him well on here. Kanye need's educating and challenging, not shutting down

Whether you believe kanye wants to do something or not is irrelevant. I believe he wants attention, I believe he wants to troll, I believe he could very easily decide to test the limits. I believe he could find himself wanting to be the centre of attention and the equvilent of "gas the x person" could be very tempting for him.

Regardless of whether he genuinelyeans those words or just wants to provoke a reaction is irrelevant.

The issues Elon will face will still be the same.

I actually have been shocked at all the failings

Contrary to what people often think Elon has a kind of 1000 monkeys with type writers will eventually produce a work of Shakespeare mentality - grossly simplified but his companies are more geared towards giving a load of bright people the resources to work towards a goal with the notion someone will crack it rather than having a structured plan to the end result.

most of it will be a load of nonsense from the people who didnt want him to take it over, they seem to think its a war

Did Shakespeare ever publically ever called someone a peado?

With everything he says about himself, I would massively question that or what he did, if anything, when there.

His role is supported by plenty of comments from others present.

I think people are in danger of wildly over-correcting their views of Musk. There is a substantial middle ground between "Musk is a genius" and "Musk is an unhinged dork who just got lucky".

The Gillette thing cracked me up, advert was indeed cringe but so was the mass reactionary faux outrage over it.

The thought of people genuinely getting upset over it is hilarious, especially the “I’m a big manly man” types who seem to consistently get upset about everything whislt proclaiming nothing offends them.

Wooosh way to miss the point.
What is the point? That its old news? typical trump bluff and bluster from when Elon was 1st rumored to be buying twitter?

The point was that it was yet another 'attack' on men, can you imagine the outrage if some lipstick manufacturer decided to **** out an advert that told women not to be ***** to one another?

@imtoooldforthis If Gillette wants to spout off about politics they're entitled to, if customers want to spend their money else where they're entitled to as well. I had been using Gillette products for decades and found that advert unnecessary, the only way to tell companies like Gillette I don't want to be preached at by them is to change my purchasing habits. Stick and carrot. I now buy cheaper better razors from Harry's and use Nivea foam. Hopefully the Gillette and Disney saga's encourage big business to stay out of politics and focus on satisfying their customers.

Oh noes an advert told men to not be *****, I feel so attacked and hurt by this that I’m going to go and relentlessly cry about it non stop on the internet for a couple weeks.

Not once in my life have I ever felt under attack for being a man. It’s a preachy advert ffs, who gives a toss. It was the ultimate example of bandwagon outrage which plagues social media.
