I must apologise to roar for calling him roary the tiger. I see now that it has caused him distress and will refrain from calling him it directly.

To be honest, on reflection, it is clear that it was a poor choice of words to use. It was meant as a light hearted way to describe someone who thinks of themself as a big hard guy, but in reality are just a cute little kids tiger roaring, and a perfect play on his user name too. In the future I'll just come right and say it without the clever nickname.

Obviously a poor decision, and from now on I will defend when anyone says say roar is not hard. We are in a freaking Elon Musk thread, I'm sure you all will agree that of course roar is rock hard!

Though he reports when users call him a tiger, or moans when users are in 2 threads that he's in, and posts about other users dick sizes, and posts about other users arm sizes, ignore all that.

Does Elon really understand how to make money from Twitter?

Daily active users increasing doesn't make you any money if you have no advertisers willing to buy ads on your platform.

He's done exactly what I thought he would and tried to turn it into an engineering problem. He could make the greatest social platform ever from a technical standpoint but that doesn't matter if you users are spouting content you can't monetize. I'm also not convinced that there will be strong uptake in twitter premium as users historically are not willing to pay a premium for user generated content look at the uptake of YouTube premium as an example

The owner of twitter that has access to every single part of the database and code has just confirmed he is correct with his assessment. Are you saying Elon is spreading conspiracies now?

Youtube which is massive compared to Twitter with 2.1 billion monthly active users only has about 22m premium customers that brings in 10% of $28b in income per year. 90% of Youtube's revenue comes from ads. Ads pay for everything on the internet. Even Netflix is going with ads now. Twitter is dead with ad revenue.

Well he was spreading a CT not long ago so he's not really the guy to be trusted on this is he.

They were banned for violating Twitters terms and conditions due to abusive language, inciting violence or harassment.

Generally this seemed to be the actions of right wing people. I don't doubt there were plenty of people lying on Twitter but you didn't get banned for that.

Elon can now do as he pleases and advertisers and users can do as they please and we will see where we stand in a few months
