The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Can you quote anything far right from the texts? If "controlling the narrative" is "far right" then so are pretty much every major media organisation and activist group.

It might help if you actually quote directly too/be specific about what you're referring to as so far it seems like a ludicrous conclusion that two seemingly moderate/socially liberal types are somehow "far right" because they're anti woke?

It's like an even more extreme version of this:

Except the illustration in that tweet is not true at all.

In fact, in the USA, the complete opposite is true.

@Flibster I have such a hard time believing that as a fair representation of the most successful rocket compeny on the planet. That sounds like a disfunctional one, not one that has revolutionised the entire industry. I genuinely doubt a company could be so successful and so revolutionary in a mature industry if the CEO was so incapable. For said CEO to also be simultaneously the head of the Worlds most valuable* car company in anther mature industry stretches credibility.

One has to ask whether the intern is just writing some wish fulfillment there.

*I wouldn't challenge any argument that Tesla is horrendously over valued by the way.

Gwynne Shotwell runs Space X. She was bought in to run it and deal with clients. I've no idea if that story is true but its believable because of what he has shown the public over the years and what he is now doing at Twitter. He is his own worst enemy in many ways.

Brilliant, more hyperbole... Again this is just another example of:

I guess the boomer/gen X liberal types like Stephen Fry, John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson and J K Rowling are "literally nazis" now... :D
You live in an imagined fantasy land if you think that illustration is in any way accurate.

With the exception of Stephen Fry (who afaik has just said "pls be nice to jk Rowling"), those are all people whose views have very publicly become more extreme towards the right over time. So well done for illustrating that this goes both ways I guess

Especially since most of those people were never particularly liberal to begin with

So moderates and liberals are now "far right" because they're anti-woke or have been impolite on twitter... and I'm the one living in a fantasy world?

There are people in this thread who literally have that view.

It's perfectly plausible. It is not uncommon for the top person to have to be dealt with in specific ways. It's often been said that if you wanted George W. to go with your idea, you had to be the last person in the room, and he was running a superpower!

J K Rowling's views have become "more extreme towards" the right?

How? Is this going to be like the other guy who claimed Elon Musk was "far right" and then couldn't give a single example so just link dumped his google search for "Elon" and "right-wing"?

J K Rowling's only crime is supporting trans rights while also considering biological sex to be important, her Twitter critics can't even find clear examples of her being "transphobic", I doubt you can give any good examples of her being becoming "more extreme towards the right" when she's clearly liberal and left of centre.

You guys are just providing further examples of why that cartoon is correct.

No, you (like so many others) just have some imagined persecution complex about being seen as right wing.

You have also bought into all the woke/anti-woke nonsense, which is just noise for stupid people.

You see that guy circled red? That's you that is...

Jono you're the one being stupid here given there are direct examples of that cartoon in this very thread which you're wilfully ignoring.

Do you want to have a go at showing me where J K Rowling has moved towards extreme right wing views?

Or perhaps how the texts between Elon and his ex-wife demonstrate that both of them are "far right".

Or are you just going to throw in little rants that the cartoon isn't true or try to make it about me etc..

Who is saying JK Rowling is far right? Some idiots on twitter?

Your whole world view seems to revolve around what nobodies on twitter are saying at any given moment.

Read the post again, "moved towards extreme right-wing views?". Now just scroll back a few posts and you'll see a poster in this very thread saying that.

Perhaps all the fuss over "hate speech" on Twitter has been for nothing too?

So far he's managed to crack down on all the child porn which was apparently being traded on the platform and ignored under previous management and he's supposedly reduced hate speech.

That anon claim from an "intern" is like catnip for some journalists who absolutely hate Elon Musk, obviously, people lap it up but it doesn't seem plausible, it's not like SpaceX was his one single company that just got big by a complete fluke...

If the intern is to be believed it's like half a dozen successful companies all miraculously grew in his presence while a team of managers gaslighted him and shielded him from reality.

Who cares what some randomer on OCUK says?

Maybe try concentrating on what the influential politicians on either side are doing and saying, instead of what some nobody on ocuk/twitter says.

In the USA in particular, the GOP have taken things to the more extreme right far more prominently, and in a more extreme/dangerous fashion.

-We've got a large fringe of the party, led by the former president, who simply refuse to accept the results of elections now without crying about election fraud every single time
-The former president incited an insurrection on the US capitol building because he refused to accept he lost a democratic election
-Woman's rights have been thrown in the toilet.
-Christian religious fundamentalism is quite clearly on the rise/feels emboldened
-We've got pretty frequent right wing terrorist attacks, no doubt emboldened by the recent GOP rhetoric.

What do prominent left wing politcians like Bernie Sander's want? Better wealth equality and universal helathcare. OH NO THE HORROR!

Yet you are more concerned about who calls what or who "woke" on twitter.

It makes me chuckle as this is so extremely spot on, yet progressives are so laughably telling us it isn't..

There is such an exhaustive and endless list of examples of how the progressives have ripped up the goal posts and put them on the same spaceship as the Mars Rover..

Jeez, we have people now claiming the countryside is racist, COVID is racist, hell even maths is racist and you still can't accept how far progressives have gone..
