Musk was replying to someone else who tweeted about the removal levels being higher than old twitter.

Just because you  never gave 2 ***** about it doesn't mean than many many other people didn't .
"to stall the mass exodus of advertisers using his own made-up fairyland metrics"

Thanks for the unasked for edit.

Ok self driving safely. That is the point right? That they can drive the car safer than you and not make mistakes.

No, that they can drive the car safely. I don't believe anyone has claimed they can drive safer than the driver without making mistakes.

and he does touch the wheel several times as he's clearly concerned in that moment.

But he doesn't need to, that's the point.

I must be honest, this thread is absolutely spectacular. We've had racism, sexism, xenophobia, employment law, merger & acquisition law, political leanings and now self driving cars.

Hit me up when you guys start debating norks please. Cheers.

Good call, which of Elon's girls had the best norks? (Obvs this does have to be family-friendly and I believe even bikini or lingerie pics are a bit borderline outside of the annual Christmas "babe thread":)

I must have a thing for crazy, but Amber heard definitely takes the top spot for me. She's in my "5 girls I can sleep with without partner getting angry" list

This has to be OcUKs most pathetic thread so far, a lot of jealousy kicking about. It's hilarious to watch :D

Meanwhile, Twitter seems to be doing better than ever before and removing a lot more child porn than ever before too (with less staff). Yet people still seem to want to argue against that, strange strange people.

Who is arguing against removing child porn? What are you talking about.

Pretty much, we even had a well Elon hasn't really achieved much post earlier from one of the posters who previously tried to claim he wasn't some anti-Elon type, I suspect that is driving a lot of it, he's a divisive figure.

If that is aimed at me I never claimed he hadn't achieved much. Clearly he has. I said he had lied repeatedly and failed to deliver on promises he's made. In 2017 he said he they would have an electric lorry ready for test rides in October of that year and they could drive themselves better than humans. That is 5 years ago. Where are the solar tiles? Where is Hyperloop? Where is Boring Company? There is nothing wrong with calling out what is clearly vaporware.

I did used to be a fan but the more I've read and after actually watching the videos pointing out his constant lies I changed my mind. People can do that when they've become aware of other facts. I'm still a huge fan of SpaceX.

I wouldn't say I was ever a fan of Elon, only because I didn't know much about him but I was a fan of Tesla for a time, particularly around 2018 when they were seemingly the only decent EVs around. I remember being in San Francisco and spotting all the Model S being driven about and watching YouTube videos about the Model 3 US launch.

Having now test-driven 2 different Tesla's, own an electric vehicle myself (Polestar) and also had two non-tesla cars with self driving capabilities and last but not least, seen the decline of driver focused engineering (No driver instrument cluster in Model 3/Y, the Yolk steering on the model S plaid etc) I had gone off them anyway.

Their CEO turning out to be a thin skinned liar with an army of sycophants was the last straw really.

I have doubts as to whether Tesla will be relevant in a few years anyway.

Apart from being good at batteries early in the EV market and making a name for themselves, what else do they offer that proper car makers can't do these days?

The cars themselves are ugly as sin, thats about my experience of them TBF, but I don't see how they can be better than average cars with an inexperienced car design team in terms of chassis and other traditional automotive engineering fields.

They sell carbon credits (their main customer).
