And they did get the tweets removed, we just don't know what those tweets were.

Nor does he care. Like I said before when he was moaning about balance, it was false he was really moaning to stop nasty things said about Elon

This is nothing to do with Elon Musk, this is junk for you to discuss in Speaker's Corner with people who give a ****.

Lol I can't get over this.

Roar is definitely adding balance. Before we were all having a laugh at Elon. Now not any more.

Well collage educated people tend to be liberals. Who would have thought getting educated might broaden your mind and give you a liberal outlook.

It's more to do with personality types than having some more educated fully formed view, as you well know as people get older they become more Conservative.

Its proven that people with higher education are more likely to be liberal. I'm 17 years older than you and not as right wing, what happened?

No surprise that younger people would want to work in social media as its of their generation. Silicon Valley leans left, all those brainiacs can't be wrong.

Republican voters are better paid though from what i recall
Interested to see those figures, and more interested to know how much the top percent gets of that higher income. You possibly have just one Repuibcan worth 250 billion for instance really screwing up the numbers.

It's interesting as I'd have thought new York, california, and texas are the most expensive places to live, 2 put of 3 are heavily Democrat voters.

Be cool if you could find those figures so we can have a gander.

Shock as people who generally have a mountain of wealth after several years in their industry wants to 'conserve' it by pulling the ladder up that they stole from their parents also vote Republican.

You're so basic man  Liberals are more likely to pursue science and arts careers, which dont pay as well

Obama didnt change anything with regards to inheritance if i remember correctly.

Dumb take because statistically they will become more Conservative as they get older, did they become less intelligent with age? Or you know, gain some actual wisdom along the way.

Its not just about gaining wisdom. Its as much if not more about becoming set in your ways and not liking the changes the new generations make to your norms. Its why every older generation says "kids today, they weren't like that in my day". Youth is the future, old codgers are the past and I'm getting closer to being part of that past. I'm not making the same mistake as many of my peers and forgetting what it was actually like being young. The idea that getting older should make you less liberal is ridiculous.

I think people realise how ineffective and wasteful government actually is as they get older, they see how **** Politicians are, which is a large part of why people become Conservative. It isn't that they don't want to help others, it's that the mechanisms used to help others are so poorly implemented by people who are ineffective and useless at their jobs. That's why people prefer lower taxes and smaller government, not that they think all poor people are scroungers who need to pick themselves up by their bootstraps.

I prefer the one about how if someone is loyal to one party and never changes their vote then they are brain dead, or something along those lines.

Thanks for that. It is interesting, as I've seen stats that show the worst performing states, something like the bottom 10, are all republican run.

Based on nothing but experience, I just feel there has to be so many stupidly rich republicans that push those numbers up. The average person's wage would be a different look and possibly the other way around with Dems ahead.

Do you think the stats are similar here in the UK? I would be there's an even bigger divide between wealthy being Conservative here.

Never heard that one, who's that attributed to? maybe Kierkegaard?

It's same in the UK. Older people who have been in the workforce a long time, built a business, made some money for themselves tend to vote right. And before someone says its inheritance and old money, something like 80% of newly minted millionaires come from no money or very little money.

It's not some merry go round of wealthy people giving their kids an inheritance to perpetuate inequality. Especially in the UK where wealth rarely lasts 2 generations. Wealth in the US can last much much longer, the allowances are far higher compared to Europe in general

I know its anecdotal, but I have come across far more foreigners than I'd expect, that vote for conservatives and brexit.

Once they get money, in my experience, people tend to just want to hold onto it and forget the struggles others go through. 1st gen Foreigners that are now settled, voting to stop foreigners is just something I don't understand.

I'm sure there is a difference, but it feels like to me, imagine gays now that they can get married, saying lesbians shouldn't be allowed because what's next, dogs marrying a man etc.
