The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Why would you link to the infamous Washington Times for this story when it’s been reported far more accurately in genuinely reputable sources?

I mean, the spin and nonsense in that breathtakingly badly written article is pretty hilarious even if the actual fact that he was fired is true.

It’s probably not wise to regularly ingest disinformation from these sorts of sources.

I think the bigger story is how much Saudi Arabia controls of Twitter (they are the ones currently blocking Musk's takeover bid).

Capitalism at its best, allowing a rival country to hold significant shares in a platform that is ruling the news arena.

I know this is an old post, I was just reading the first couple pages to see how well posts have aged, and came across this one.

I wondered how you felt now the purchase has gone through and how Elon apparently got the money to fund his purchase?

I just Googled and took a link that wasn't behind a paywall

Well if Jim Baker is secretly Elon Musk then yes. You know more than one thing can be discussed at the same time right? So I'll take it that is a no and we still don't know from Elon what the tweets were.

This Wall Street Journal piece isn't behind the paywall.

Why hasn't he done what Jack Dorsey suggested and made everything available? He could give it all to every media outlet and let them comb through it all. The problem with the way he is doing it is he appears to want to control the narrative, that is hardly being transparent.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter co-founder and former chief executive, on Wednesday suggested Mr. Musk should go further. “If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now,” he tweeted.

I agree, maybe he will.

I don't know where Elon got the money for it? Saudi?

Last week....

"Elon has done so much for twitter, it runs so fast now, all the child porn is gone, he's done a great job lol roflmao"

Makes sense.

It wouldn't be roar without him needlessly defending Musk. The balance. The genuine criticisms, balanced by roar with bogus whiteknight praise. Batman trying to be heroic and save gotham, balanced by a joke...r :p

And besides, why is roar talking down Elon. Elon has had twitter ages now, so much time he's been able to make all these positive changes. Yet he can't find time to release the republican government's demands for tweets, and the defence is... Give him time.

Talk about making excuses.

"Elon is fair honest guvnor, he just hasn't had time to be fair. He's a moderate, middle ground Liberal, that only said vote republican as he's looking for balance, no other reason and I know that because he told me so and he's a honest guy"

Thunderfoot delivering a video on the Tesla Semi, which is more than Tesla has done for those customers who put down a deposit in 2017.

I'd love to see the battery charge and predicted range values absolutely tank watching it smash up that hill at a stupidly high acceleration - assuming he wasn't charging his phone at the same time...
