How hard can it be to do HR, I mean they don't even code!
Seriously though it does rather demonstrate the mess twitter is in, as even assuming Musk was "given bad info" there are questions about how did someone get it that badly wrong given Twitter would have had a functioning HR system that should have allowed a name look up and the info, unless the person who did the look up didn't understand the system in which case it begs the question about what else is not being understood.
Apparently there is at least one other person in the same sort of situation, another twitter employee who is there because their company was bought out by twitter and they were the founder of it, thus likely in the same position.
I mean we all joke about "HR" and "H&S" being useless but they do actually have a function, and pretty much any company that thinks they can do away with them is in for a nasty shock, the only question is usually if it's before or after the lawsuits/investigations into major injuries.
