The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

We're now dragging up stories of things he did as a child, there's really no limits to demonising people for certain groups is there
It was referenced in a number of threads on Halli, so thought it was worthy of a share in the same way you and others have shared articles about Musk.
However, i didn't know that he wrote/"wrote" a children's book nor that he had massaged the truth in it.

Either way, carry on whiting knighting buddy :)

It's extremely rare that you get to where Elon is in terms of business/wealth without being a massive piece of **** human.

Possible, but rare.
There's definitely some truth to this.

You really are hilarious. He lied in a book he made while an adult and made it look like he was being bullied but it was him doing the bullying. Just like now.

He hates people because he knows most sensible people think he is a ****.

He should have joined an anti west terrorist group who burn people alive and cut their heads off, as a child. Presumably he would then have your sympathy for any acts committed as a teenager, with his youth as the get out clause you cite?

Or would his potential future wealth have seen you with no public excuses for him, but entente cordiale for the terrorist Begum? It looks like political alignment and wealth guide your particular moral stances...

Roar has a point; Musk provides enough material on a daily basis that there's really no need to delve into his past to highlight what a cretin he is.

It is funny though.
Very true. Why dig up Elon's history when his present is just as stupid. Point well made roar!

even assuming Musk was "given bad info"
I have no doubt he was given bad information, that is probably true, but the reason why is the important part. Elon gets bad information for the same reason Putin gets bad information. If someone had told Elon anything other than "this hali guy is useless, you're right to get rid of him", then they would also be fired. Look at the situation reported when Elon was upset that his tweet didn't get as much likes as Biden. Elon starts firing those who don't tell him the right answer..

Wealth?

It isnt his wealth Im criticising. The rest of your post was just as silly. I have some respect for some very rich people.

It is his moral stance I have a problem with while you seem to relish it.

Why do you think I relish his moral stance? I have called him a druggie on here more than once. It's the moral stance of those that seem to criticise his every utterance and move, where it is undeniably politically motivated, but couched under "moral outrage".

Just because you keep repeating something doesn't make it true.

I am completely denying my thoughts towards him are "politically motivated". In fact I still am a big fan of what he has done with the Space Industry, so any criticism of him now (not that I do a lot, as I don't give 2 hoots about twitter) has nothing to do with his wealth, politics or anything else other than how he has shown himself to be quite a bit of a dick personally, when he has absolutely no need to be.

But you wouldn't understand that, since you don't really rate being a decent human being as high up on what matters to you, so you have to keep manufacturing a reason that you do understand.

If you look at those that are the most vehement in Musk's condemnation can you deny that those posters are also left leaning in most matters political where they venture opinions?

Well, for example MKW is (was) a card holding member of the Tory party. StriderX is a nihilist and hates everybody equally. Dowie (who seems to have criticised him a lot) is dowie. Sankari is an all rounder.

Obviously I know Vincent, Tony, potato, Jono are left leaning, but a lot of the others I wouldn't know.

I think you are confusing the issue as his defenders seem to be the ones who have been sucked into the culture wars grift by the US right, being easily manipulated by propaganda like they are, so you just think everyone who disagrees with them are 'on the left'.

How does that fit in with the majority that are supportive of what he has achieved at Tesla and SpaceX but think he's being a bit of a douche in how he is handling Twitter?

Flip the question - look at those most vehement on defending him. It makes no sense, lol.

A lot of people started off liking him, then mysteriously changed their opinion when he wanted to buy Twitter and disagreed with Trump being banned. That was actually the pivotal moment for most posters in here. Mean while I liked him from Tesla and SpaceX, and I thought him selling "not-a-flamethrower" was funny. A billionaire with a sense of humour who is interested in tech and doesn't take things too seriously, apparently also "not a decent human™" though.

It started way before his Twitter escapades - that just provided the evidence that his narcissism and ego were out of control and causing him to make silly decisions just to get in the headlines. Bouyed off the success of SpaceX and Tesla with cash to burn and a majority of people thinking he walked on water as the second coming of Tech Jesus, he attempts to sell ideas as his own despite them being decades old, none of which go anywhere. Hyperloop is the easiest one to debunk as a century old idea that the laws of physics take a massive dump all over, Neuralink has only succeeded in killing a bunch of monkeys and cannot do what he claims it will due to the layout of the human brain, Boring Company is just there to dig tunnels to drive Tesla's in which achieves nothing that an actual subway can't, but with more issues, and Twitter was just to get in the news headlines.
