The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Biden is a President in name only, he shows up and reads a speech or some lines he's memorised in response to pre agreed questions. Of course he won't debate, he doesn't even take questions.
If you dislike him why would you want more of him?

Didn't Musk say a good government is one that does nothing?

E: damn it.

Still waiting on the inevitable change to deal with the false endorsement they've forced on all large accounts.

When the dust settles there should be a low drama situation where:

Many of the legacy accounts continue to have special status because it finally sank into the sink that wanted in, that large accounts are what people come to Twitter for and they have no reason at all to pay to be there.
Almost all the smaller legacy accounts have zero special status (smaller accounts are simply not a big draw to the platform)
People can buy a twitter subscription that will probably not be identical to the marks given to large accounts.

Such a load of BS to get to a situation that could have been primarily achieved just by creating a completely different mark for a subscription status and doing absolutely nothing else. Would have been less mockery and the subscription wouldn't be despised for shamelessly trying to sell the status of deserving a mark, thus destroying the status of a mark.

For all the whinging about the quality control of legacy marks the free special status marks have been rolled out by robotic means to the dead and the undeserving.

Dont worry @Trusty will be here soon to clear it all up

Ah the Blue ticks, the ones that anyone with more than 1/2 wit knew that they were used to help Twitter identify notable people so that users could easily find and follow them to consume their content. The people that were the sites product not it's customer.

Then when the blue tick turned into an Internet STD and no one wanted one, Elon forced it back on most people with 1m followers (pulse optional). Then a whole bunch of people dimmer than a 40w eco bulb claim Elon owned those elites so hard

40w is being generous.

That they were taken from individual accounts, and Musk gave them back after less than 24 hours?

What needs to be cleared up exactly?

Is this an act or something?

One day you were defending the blue tick fiasco but now you dont even know what a blue tick is?

I see one of the people he didnt give the tick back to was Jack Dorsey. What a child.

I wasn't defending the blue tick fiasco? You've misunderstood what the convo was about.

Literally my last post on the subject since i was last in the thread.

Musk should use this opportunity to see what actual damage there would be if he turned it off properly. Kind of like a sifting mechanism, 48 hours isn't enough to know who would have paid, most don't check Twitter everyday, they post every couple of days. If there isn't an ulterior motive then i'm really not sure what the point of it was.

Doesn't sound like defending to me.

Thats an interesting one because if you are told read this quote and you haven't pre practiced it then you could easily do that, whether your dementia ridden or not.
What would be key would be how its formatted as to whether it would be an easy mistake to make, or a more difficult derp type one.

Its like when you fill in a form and the first box is name, you get to the second box and it says surname, having filled in your full name in the first box.
