I can't be bothered to dig through all his crap, you can google and quickly find examples

if you tweeted saying vaccinated people can spread covid it got labelled as misinformation
Taken at its highest it was an error in wording that lasted a few days. If that's the best you've got I'm not impressed.

Espcially as the anti vax types were specifically saying the vaccine caused you to shed the virus (and assorted other things they never quite went into detail about)

So it wasn't that you couldn't spread the virus if you were vaccinated and caught the virus, but the nonsense that basically the vaccine caused you to shed some mythical thing which was total and utter bat poop insanity.

yea sure an error.... you believe that?

for people who can't be bothered to click the link here's what twitter policy was for about 2 weeks or whatever and then what they eventually reworded it to.

even if it was an "error" they still enforced the policy and stopped all reweets etc and basically ghosted the tweet from anyone who claimed "vaccinated people can spread covid"

"The vaccine will cause you to be sick" is listed there too, people did get blood clots etc I guess you weren't allowed to talk about any negative aspects of the vaccines no matter how true they were if it might put someone off getting jabbed.

Tweets that incite fear or misrepresent the ingredients... wasn't there a bunch of news articles about a dodgy lab somewhere maybe india? I guess that wasn't allowed to be posted on twitter either.

They're not perfect but I don't believe for a minute there was any attempt at suppressing genuine information. Vaccines will cause you to be sick is, indeed, untrue.

seems to me twitter thinks it should guide the world and supress anything that might disagree with whatever agenda they have.
they are the"we know best" types and want to be the guiding hand, just like Bill Gates and the others.

I can see a time when they wont allow talk about meat eating on there in case the vegans get offended

There are other often better modes of communication than twitter. However if we're talking about restrictions of speech then all the 'free speech' orientated alternatives have distinctly unfree terms of service.

Walled gardens (of which the internet is a series of) require a minimal level of decorum to function else it inevitably empties because there are less crappy gardens to be in.

How things seem to you and reality often don't have much in common.
thanks I disappear from these forums.
sorry for troubling you

apparently I'm the conspiracy theorist for not trusting twitter afer having to prove their misinformation policy is a bunch of crap. oh it's just an error....

yea same as their 5% bot claim it's just an error elon now pay up, it's always an error when people catch on and they have to fess up.

Why are Texas tax payers paying for an investigation of Twitter when they had funding on mental health cut not that long ago? Are they that far up Musk's arse now? He's not the messiah, he's just a tech nerd who is very bright but also has borderline personality disorders. He has clearly ****** up with his purchase of Twitter and is now trying to wriggle out of it.

What do you want them to do? You have to admit that lies spread like wildfire on social media right? Just look how fast "Plandemic" spread and huge amounts of people believed it. Even when it came out that their star witness was a disgraced researcher fired and black balled for faking data to make her study look better it didn't matter, people were already sold on it. People still believe that nonsense. The anti vax crowd were causing huge amounts of damage on social media, the companies had to try and limit the damage being done on their platforms. Yes they will have got it wrong on occasions and they might have over reacted sometimes but they were attempting to fight back against a well organised disinformation machine.

Musk is about to receive a truckload of user data from Twitter. Will it influence his decision? Axios isn't so sure. In fact, they're not even confident that this is the kind of data he's asked for.

Musk will get access to a data firehose of all public tweets, which also is something that a small group of ad agencies and other third parties already receive for a fee.

  • But plenty of real people use Twitter without actually tweeting, and those accounts wouldn't appear in the firehose. They would, however, be included in Twitter's internal calculations of monthly daily active users, which is the cohort Twitter uses when determining that 5% of its accounts are fake.

  • Musk isn't getting access to this private data set, nor does he have a right to it because he waived due diligence.

  • Musk also wouldn't have access to other internal signals Twitter uses to help determine real vs. fake accounts, such as what tweets an account views or follows. These signals also help Twitter determine which "Twitter Moments" and other content to serve.

  • Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal recently wrote that the use of both public and private data is vital to determining the number of bots, but Musk only is expected to receive the former.

At any rate, it's adding some fresh drama to the show.

:p
