The biggest cultural difference in my view are the Republicans views on capitalism and individualism.

The main gripe against some kind of socialised health system, even if partially private funded like some of the European systems are, is because it might benefit someone who hasn't paid enough in. So they would rather pay higher bills than help a fellow American out.
None of this makes any sense? Has long covid turned your brain to mush?

Guys this is so far from twitter now or Elon that we've summoned a TDS member.

Hopefully the SC see sense and give him the immunity that he and the world needs as all of these crimes he has supposed to have committed seem to go nowhere. Very strange.

Please can we move trump/Biden/USA politics to a thread about that so that it remains mostly civil and doesn't get even further out of hand as users like the above always lead to a massive drop or quality.

QUOTE a post from this thread, and reply to it in the Biden or trump thread if you want to continue the discussion about that. Please

Trump: People who don't speak languages. We have languages coming in to our country, nobody that speaks those languages. They're truly foreign languages. Nobody speaks them

@Roar87 loves to tell us how thick Biden is, so how will be explain away Trump's latest senior moment?

Why do you keep tagging me like I'm some Trump super fan who has to explain everything he says? He's just saying there's people coming in from god knows what countries speaking languages no one in America has even heard of, he says it in a round-about-way but it makes sense

So why when Biden says something in a "round-about-way" do you not give him the benefit of the doubt but instead how unfit he is to be President?

I keep tagging you because you are a Trump and Elon super fan.

It doesn't matter, Roar will be along to tell us how Elon is actually a super genius and how he's right about everything.

Great, I am not sure when you were appointed moderator but if it gets you off I am not going to argue.

How long until Twitter goes bankrupt?
I wasn't, but the mods step in countless times and one too many can end with a thread closure. Simples. Keep the conversation going if you want, but just why not do it in the right thead?

Isn't twitter already essentially bankrupt?

Lol how that guy remembered a tweet from Elon back in 2019 I don't know.

They used to be friends and he obvs made a big public tweet supporting Tesla and now, well, there's this public dispute.

There is an interesting parallel with the Elon court case, OpenAI is a Dellaware company too and Elon got grief over his appointment of board members re: his comp deal, is he perhaps going to try similar arguments re: Sam's appointments of board members and the change in structure to include a profit-making element and the deal with Microsoft.

Obvs Elon was one of the main backers of OpenAI at the beginning and then took a step back due to the conflict of interest with his own AI developments with Tesla, not that they competed with OpenAI directly in terms of products but just talent pool/recruiting (current OpenAI CTO is ex Tesla for example). And now he is directly competing with twitter/X.com see; Grok and xAI.
