I'm liking all these completely empty desktops. I've done it for years on my PC, seems I should have owned a Mac all along

That circle is for Connect360
For £10, it basically allows you to stream (down a home network) Music/Videos/Photos using OS X.

also, how you get the date in the menu bar at the top too? I can only get the time, and its annoying having to click to see the date... cos lets be honest, we all forget the date now and then dont we
