What a cliff hanger of a ending

After last weeks ending was hoping it would continue from there but what a bait and switch.
It was good seeing Oz's childhood and upbringing but didn't feel like we needed an almost full episode showing it, hopefully the finale next week is better.

No we all needed to know he did that and see what his upbringing was like to make him the man he is today but didn't need an almost full episode run time, and they could have done so much more i.e. a cold open where Sofia had killed his mother with how the last episode ended and seeing how that pans out.

Yeah I agree, I thought it was the weakest episode as well. Hopefully the finale wraps up the series in style though.

It really is a weird watch because they are all POS but it's so engrossing. The first 7 episodes seem to have flown by and only one left now. Should be a good finale.

Decent ending to an overall very good series for a 'TV' release.
Colin is open for a s2 but with how it's ended can't say it's required but would be nice to have.

It was a great ending, but it had a few weird miss-steps, such as:
Oz freeing himself from the chair and managing to escape.
Sofia's relationship with the doctor. Where did he go in this episode after the chair scene? Then he was suddenly her doctor again at Arkham Asylum.

But an excellent series on the whole and I hope we might get more TV series in this version of Gotham, even if Penguin isn't front and centre. Matt Reeves has sort of hinted at this and I presume this series has done very well in the ratings? I know the reviews were very positive.
