Not sure about them having two models. I would say the Slim would come with a 120GB HDD to compete directly with the only HDD Xbox that will be available shortly - the Elite. Remember equal or better numbers are good in Joe Public's eyes even if they have no idea what the numbers mean.

The thinking is the old 80GB will go down to £200 and the 120GB slim will retail at £240ish, when all old stock is gone the Slim will drop in price again. The orignal leak box art had 120GB on the Slim boxes, i doubt Sony wil keep 2 or more Skus on the go at once.
 
If this is true, which it is pretty much confirmed as being, is there a real reason why they didn't announce it at E3? Would have at least made the press conference bearable.

The consoles could only be made in time for an August/September delivery. So if they announced in June, there would be no sales for 3 months. When they announce it next week, the Slims should be ready to go. The existing stock of PS3s should be very much depleted - at some online retailers, the Terminator bundle is the only way of getting a PS3.
 
Is it me or does every version of the PS3 after the 60gb look more and more like cheap tat. I mean The first batch of PS3's looked really ultra modern and classy. The pics of the slim look like complete garbage. I'll be really upset if my 60gb dies.
 
The rumour mills have gone into overdrive now with suggestions that we will be getting a "new" PS store for PS2 titles due to software BC across the board.

If that happens i'll be like a pig in poop. Really want to replay Okami, Sotc, Ico, God of War 1 + 2, Zoe2, MGS3 and FFX but can't find my PS2 memory cards. They seem to have been misplaced in my recent move :( Also i've been spoilt by wireless controllers, just can't get along with wired now.

Yes please! I pretty much skipped the PS2/Xbox generation, well i did get an xbox for giggles when they were worth like £30. But apart from that i missed out on some really great games on the PS2 (especially hankering after some classic RPG action!) so i would definately jump at the chance to get a nice library of PS2 games on my PS3. However i do hope they keep the pricing sensible especially as of late im seeing things that i think are way too overpriced on the PSN. Heres hoping!
 
Are they removing the power brick from inside and making it external (I think this is how the PS2 slim started out?).

Obviously improvements in components and production techniques explain some of the size reduction and better cooling but what happens to the PSU?
