Not any more, MS are dropping the 'pro' sku and they are also dropping the component cable and HDMI from the Elite.

Just get the phat then if you don't want to mess up your shiny look.

It's thinner, but not really smaller. Unless the bit-stream audio and the lower power consumption are REALLY that important then go for the phat, it looks way nicer anyway.

Dunno, i actually prefer the look of the slim, the shiny surface and cheap tacky silver strip on my 40gb just aren't to my taste.

Who cares about looks of a console? Past consoles have never been particuarly good looking either.

Same could be said for HDTV'S. They don't come with HDMI cables either. Its just one of those things we have to put up with. They only bundle in the cable everyone can use, a lot of people still use CRT tvs believe it or not.

Now, when I bought my canon printer a few years ago that didn't even come with a USB cable to connect it to my pc. That is an inconvenience.

Printers have not come with a USB cable for many many years.

So your printer came with a standard ltp cable? My god they dont even usually come with one of those - any cable at all required usually has to be bought seperately

Im actually quite surprised that a lot of modem/routers come with network cables these days!!!
