SFIV is terrible online on the PS3, according to shoryuken members and everyone on here who has used both consoles.
I had no lag problems with the PS3 version.

That logo when you started a game always seemed out of place to me.
All the PlayStation consoles have had one though.
and they seemed out of place too. We know its a PS3 we are on and we know its a PS3 game we are about to play. Just seemed like more unnecessary branding.
But everything does it, from phones to digital cameras. Don't think there's anything wrong with them putting their logo on their stuff, they made it after all!

They made it and we pay for it - personally I'm not a fan of paying for a product then advertising it on the company's behalf for free, but then I guess I don't lose sleep over it either![]()
There isn't anything wrong with it, its just not really needed every time a game starts up. I see it as them just removing unnecessary things that can slow load times down.

Removing them wouldn't really change anything though. The console is busy anyway when you first turn it on so the logo and sound is better than "Please Wait", and the game start logo is about half a second long. I quite like branding myself, when it's done tastefully (which in this case, it is), it makes things feel less generic.

It's not lag problems, it's how annoyingly difficult it is to join games compared to the 360 version.
The server browser is a joke, on 360 you get far more games showing up, games also report back their network (bars) way more often on 360 and joining games can take less than a second at times, on PS3 you usually have to wait a few seconds before you can join and that's hit or miss if you will actually connect.
I had to sell my PS3 arcade stick and move to 360 for online, the PS3 version is shambles.
Edit: If you played the PS3 version before the championship mode then your point is kind of moot as that's when the online for PS3 really took a nose dive, the server browser on PS3 was still inferior to the 360 but since the update it got 10x worse.
Sorry to hi-jack, but my question doesn't warrant a whole thread
Sold my PS3 on an auction site.. all was well, got positive feedback, paid promptly by PayPal yadda yadda. Anyway, was over a mates last night and the buyer is now saying the PS3 is freezing and such he wants a full refund.
The item clearly states no refunds, and I sold this in 100% perfect working order so I believe he's trying to pull a fast one; but where do I stand?
I've asked him to try a full reformat but he claims it's made no odds. Best I can think of is the hard drive is dying, but like I said it was working when I owned it (never any problems!) and he had it for 4 days before getting back to me which makes me wonder if he's noticed the Slim coming out and has decided to "bottle out".
