Bit of a long shot, I've got problems with my download speeds using a wireless connection on my fat PS3, it's quite a common problem, one basically without an easy fix. However, I've heard on another forum the PS3 Slim has a better signal again when using a wireless connection, can anyone confirm that?

Now how many people have properly compared bitstrem to non-nitstream audio (especially at teh cheaper end of the av amp spectrum and speakers), or are people just thinking that is sounds better because they are told so
O and you get your amp to light up with a pretty light

Well the cheaper end of the amp\speaker setups probably wont notice a difference. It's more for the audiophiles, For instance I only have standard speakers at my place, But after going to my friends and playing MGS4 with uncompressed sound through his 7.1 system, It makes me want to go out and purchase a better setup. Where as people on here time and time again say uncompressed makes no difference, They're wrong either that or their setup doesnt highlight the differences. This new Bitstreaming I am sure is something my friend is interested in, as he's got money to burn and loves everything to be enjoyed in the best way it can.
Obviously, If the feature doesn't interest you then it's not a reason to buy a PS3 Slim. But it interests me and i dont currently have the system to experience it on. But I'd like to get one, So i would buy it now, For that feature aswell as the other nice ones. And experience the clarity later, along with the uber awesome blinky lights.

just got my slim, ended up paying £60, ended up price matching my 80gb for £165. probably could have had it cheaper but couldn't be bothered walking around town!

tbh i have not seen a single advert on the tv and only a few posters in the shop windows of the stores that sell such things in the town centre
my local supermarket staff didnt even know about it and it still isnt advertised in them tho that maybe due to them discounting the 80gb to £200 with a game
Should my slim be outputting 5 channel as the AMp is only showing 2 channel input??
Seems to when in a game but watched a blu ray (My bloody valentine) and was all showing input as 2 channel.
IS there a setting im missing or something??

Got back off my hols dinner time went straight up town and picked up my Slim with Transformers. Just Restoring everything now. Wait a second can you hear that? ..........

well, it would have if i didnt buy another game lol
impressed with it - my 60gb wasnt very noisey but this is definately quiet. I'd just been playing call of juarez for about an hour and a half and its very very quiet.

did you compare it with mgs4 with a compressed sound track? serious question.
i couldnt not do it. £70, another years manufacturer warranty, smaller, quieter ect. it just made sense
have you run through the audio setup menu on the ps3?

No, Played a bunch of 360 games through the same setup, And they sound fine. But there's something finetuned about MGS4, We put it down to the fact it was uncompressed, could just be attention to detail by Mr Kojima I guess
Highs and Low, With sound cranked up, You could just pick apart the background noise
