The politically correct folk turn their attentions to Only Fools and Horses?

Lmao "mortified" **** off. OFAH was and still is my most favourite British Comedy, the lines were delivered beautifully, John Sullivan was a genius. I read the first line of that article and closed it. Grow up you miserable snow****** and get over yourself it's a legendary show. God what has this world come to when you sit and cry over a show with a few words that were said on TV 30 years ago. Hilarious. This is what this new generation has come to folks, the future is bleak. Can't say a word without them feeling morified and distressed. What a load of absolute nonsene. I swear the genepool has devolved.

I'm 34 and OFAH is the best British sitcom to ever be made. Have been watching the Christmas specials recently and they still make me laugh. Everyone was ridiculed no matter race, standing, class etc. Denzil was one of Del's best friends and even featured a black priest in Damien's christening which was unheard of at the time. This world is turning into a right cesspit. God forbid we have a world war three.

OFAH represents multicultural London at that time. That's how people spoke to each other. It was banter.

Sadly a lot of the young people today think our history is American history.

It must be really anxiety triggering to live in a world were someone expects everyone to be perfect, and the moment an imperfection appears "Cancelled!".

Wonder if they've seen benny hill, it ain't half hot mum, Kenny everette tv show, probably have a stroke watching mind your language. Most comedy TV shows from that era, would trigger the crap out of these people.

He doesn't elaborate but I can think of a few things (use of the "P" word and a joke about lesbians down at the town hall, you'd never get away with that now). Also its series one which I can remember watching at the time and thinking its ok, nothing special and not the classic it would become.

I think this point is missed with a lot of the outrage directed at older shows. We're laughing at the character, not with them. You don't look at Alan Partridge and say "I want to be like him", you laugh at him because he's a ******* moron who gets himself into ridiculous situations.

You could make the same argument about Alf Garnett and not only is that not ever repeated its been positively expunged from the national consciousness.

The same reason you don't see the Fu Manchu movies anymore I imagine, they vanished from broadcasting lists years ago presumably blacklisted.

She got challenged about her pish on twitter and just blocked people questioning her. No surprise there, just an outraged 20 something year old from the looks of her.

Soon to be working at the BBC, Head of Cultural Diversity Programming...

None of this is true. Merry Christmas :D

The fact that so many mainstream articles are now based on a handful of outgrage tweets proves my point, you can find examples of it any day of the week.

Everything I said is true. Only Fools and Horses is not going to be the downfall of society.
