Starting to love this macro malarkey! :D

Me too, sometimes you think "ah got the focus spot on" and then when you check the resulting image the part you wanted isn't! Doh. Get it right and its amazing. Tremendous fun but hard work :)

Bought a set of 3 extension rings, used all 3 rings - so 64mm of extension rings.
Shot would have been at 55mm with the minimum focal distance possible to get nice and close and try and fill up the frame - was probably around 1cm from the fly. The image is cropped to about 1/9 of the original image (1/3 horizontal, 1/3 vertical)
Hope that helps :)
Was this used on the Nikon 18-55 kit lens? I have the same lens myself, I think I'll pick up a few macro tubes if that's the case. :)

Just noticed i have a few dust specs on my sensor. Looks like ill have to get a rocket blower or some sort of kit?

Straight from the camera - Need to edit it, it's a bit noisy, anyone know a good noise remover?

First time shooting any sort of gig - Using a Canon 350D and the Nifty Fifty :)

Rules can be broken :)
I like it too - it's a nice view.

Thanks, yeah its a really nice view. I sometimes forget how lucky i am to live in an area with nice views like this.

I'm going to drive over to those windmills (on top of the hill on the right of the picture) tomorrow to get some long exposure shots of them.
