Random sunset over the river trent the other evening.

Just a quick visit and I took this panorama whilst I was waiting for my train to arrive at london bridge. Came out better than I hoped it would. Taken with 5dmk2

I've had a couple of frustrating early morning adventures in ISO800/f5.6/ugly-post-processing land. This darned hobby can be too addictive... my neck's sore from staring upwards. :-)

I'm supposed to be going to Biggin Hill airshow tomorrow, but what I really want to do is go out again and try to catch this lot before they all leave the nest. I can't help feeling there's a halfway decent entry to the Countryfile calendar competition waiting to be taken! None of these are sharp enough at decent resolutions. :-(

Had nothing to do today. So decided to do a quick high-ISO test.

ISO3200 on a six year old camera. No NR. SOOC Jpeg+Levels+Resize.

Mmm hairdryer and shopping bags... :p

Looks okay apart from the banding in the darkest stop or so of tones.

See how boring today has been?

Experimenting with my new umbrella with my Metz 48 AF-1.
Not a lot to experiment with as I'm alone at home, so a self portrait is as good as it gets...

Papa, that is a sweet shot! Very nice reflection off the placid water, post-process is spot on with that mist in the background! Well done!

Gear used to take the photo;

Canon reclining garden chair tripod.
Pair of binoculars.
Panasonic Lumix TZ3

Took ages to get a decent shot and keep the binoculars and camera steady and keep the lens inside the eye piece. o.O
