^^ Really nicely lit mate, have a look at Dan's post (famas) about 2/3rds the way down, for guidence. I found it really helpful when i attempted water drops for the first time.

Unsure about this. New to plonking a friend in front of a camera and saying pose! She was as nervous as i was. Think I've just missed the focus on this one but quite like the composition. It was a foul grey day in Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago. Yanked the contrast up a bit and reduced the brightness. small sharpness increase and a crop was all i did. Big learning curve for both myself and lorraine

This was in our garden, all the birds like to drink from our bird bath and eat the insects in the hedge. They are very funny as they keep hopping past our french doors and annoy the dogs.

Just came back from holiday from Australia and Malaysia, lots of pictures to go through but for some reason this blurry hand held shot grabbed my attention

Was pitch black when I took it.

My 2nd holiday with my Nikon D3000 (my first DSLR), so here are a few shots. The rest can be found in the Menorca 2010 set on my Flickr if you're interested.

How are you finding the camera? I was thinking of getting the D3000, D5000 or the 500D for my first DSLR. Is it easy to use? Also do you have a link to your flikr?

Some random aircraft shots from this morning. Not in Gord's league but maybe one day!....maybe.

My first time today playing with a few more settings. Was a difficuly day to get right as each time a new aircraft came along the lighting was totally different than it was for the previous!
