I had family day out to Jodrell Bank last week and wanted a shot of the dish without the 6ft fence. I set my 17-85 to 17mm and did a 4 shot pano holding the camera up above the fence on live view. I was well suprised when i stitched the shots in MS ICE as it came out like a fisheye pic,

Here are some shots I've been doing recently of Broadway Tower in Worcestershire, it has great views out over the countryside, but getting any decent shots of it and the views is tricky, it at least is high up and relatively far from large towns so you can get quite good star shots here. I guess I'm making a small project out of it for myself of photographing it over the coming seasons.

These are all long exposures of varying lengths, some may be a bit "samey" but compositionally it's quite tricky to get this building looking right using a wide angle lens. I've found that shooting with one of the turrets closest to you gives (IMO) a better shot of the building. I think I still have a bit to do on my processing but it's all a learning curve in the end.

Some shots taken with the Lee Big Stopper, most of the others (day shots) taken with a 1.2 ND filter, night shots with no filters ;)

I'm more than happy to get any criticism on these :)

28 minute night shot with Jupiter on the right (a bit noisy as my torch battery packed in so couldn't expose the tower as I'd of liked):

Thanks again, I will agree on No.1 the light that evening was fantastic against the clouds and not something I've had again since :) It is quite hard getting a good angle on this building but if I do any more star trails with it I'll take that on board Wedge :)
