Wow Bruce. When were those taken? I keep meaning to venture up there for shots.

I've been taking trips up there over the last month or so, it's about 40 minutes from me so a bit of a trek if you aren't sure on the weather etc, thankfully I've been pretty lucky, only got rain last night. It's quite easy access, parking is only a minute walk from the tower. If the gates are closed there is a sty to the left of the main gate you can go over :)

Worth the trip, free parking or there is a layby on the road you can park as they close at 5pm~. You only pay anything if you want to go in the tower (you can go up the top) and I think this also allows you to go in the nuclear bunker they have there, although I've not been in.

There are also deer in the next fields so you can get some nice shots of them, although you will probably need something 200mm+ for them realistically.

great images BruceLee, love the pastel colours in the skys from the long exposure.
Neil89 i like these, the light on your mono shots gives great depth. If you dont mind me asking, what post processing did you use to convert to B&W.

Thankyou Throttle. First cltr+shift+u , lasso 150% feather top half with level layer adjustment and same for bottom. Then dodging and burning shadows , highlights to give the image more depth.

Finally some small sharpen :D

Had a little break in Donegal for 3 days - just starting to root through all the images and get a bit of processing done.

First go at pano's:

Nice shots Mr Jones, good to see your setup as well. I was going to give this a go for the artificial light comp, but with off camera flash. I didn't have a black backdrop though and never got round to sorting one!

Cheers (the other) Mr Jones :p
I was quite chuffed with them, even managed by chance, something for this months competition whilst I think of something better...

BTW, a matt black backdrop is a must.
I've tried folder, t-shirt and paper. All crap. I managed to get myself a matt black framing card for £3 (A1 sized), can see this being useful in a few other set up shoot :)
