It's some little foam-type thing my sister got from Italy. It looks and feels kind of crispy though, like it's been painted.

In PS I just ran a sharpen and chose medium contrast within levels.

What I meant about photoshopped is, it looked like you've just layered *that thing* onto the sky shot.

Crossy I think Meronem was right when he said: They are both good in their own right, the 2nd is wamer, but the 1st is a little more arty I think i slightly prefer the colour version.

Mint_Sauce I just love the contrast and timing of the dog photo, a very happy and energetic photo. and the landscape one has a very strong painting like feel with its low contrast and nice colour.

That's a very heavy crop though (almost 100%); don't have anything longer than my 18-200mm

mainly saturation, and contrast, also made it a little darker.
