Agreed, pray tell, how is it done?

I dismantled 2 little torches from crackers, rested my hand on a desk, set the camera to a long exposure (5 secs in this case) then just spazzed out with the LED's :). I did feel the original lacked 'magic' but Fractalius sorted that out.

Waterfall

First waterfall picture and first picture post, only had my 400d a couple of weeks and enjoying trying to recreate some shots on here...

That is some superb shot!
Not too sure about the foreground foliage, being abit too distracting from the actual waterfall - it is still a cracker of a shot.
 
I guess above you just take 3 shots from the same place and then layer them over each other in photoshop?

Yup but not as easy as it sounds, damn exposure is different from each shot when using natural light. Need to do a fair bit of editing to get the colours and exposure level. You can see the obvious flaw on my bed shot, left elbow.

Hi Mate, I really like the effect you have in this photo.
My other halfs sister is getting married in two weeks time, (going to take my new best freind along, my cheap but chearful Nikon D40X) would love to know how you get this effect? (done in PS im assuming?)
