What settings on the camera?

I've found when shooting like that I have to bring the ISO right up to get the background lights in?

benjo, what are you using for PP, looks quite like topaz adjust or maybe lucis ? Either way i really like the finished article, good impact and energy!

Haha thanks guys, I didn't notice the creepy bloke

I was using ISO320 for most of them. PP was done in Lightroom.. can't remember what settings I used, just fiddled with the fill light, contrast and clarity

When you say bounced, how? Did you have something with you to bounce it or did you just aim the flash above them?

The venue had some white netting above most of the stage area, so I just aimed the flash upwards and it lit up most people in front of me

on quick comment on this thread; does no one feel it's kinda "killed" the photography forum a bit? We now only have equipment threads bar the very rare actual photo thread and this one, perhaps photography should be split into 2 forums, equipment talk and photo threads, as this thread is getting unmanageably large! Very hard to try and find images etc

Just a thought
