I didn't realise how lucky I am to live in the New Forest until I took up photography.

Taken at a Hill Climb this evening.
The rain at this point was coming in sideways, he was about 3/4's of a mile in with a good way to go.

D80 with MB-D80 and SB600 in one hand and a golf brolley in the other trying to keep it all dry.

Again the macros were taken with the Panasonic Lumix TZ5 and Raynox 150 macro lens and the normal shots just with the TZ5

Just found this guy on my floor when I wanted to go to bed. But not leaving that in my room.
He was staying nice and still so gave me a good chance to get as close as I dare with my camera (was about 50cm at 300mm zoom)

Quite happy with the detail. Taken on a 350d with a sigma 28-300.
Would I have got better results getting much closer with the nifty 50 or the 18-55 kit lens?

Lovely depth of field Floyd. I particularly like the way the bokeh of the carpet seems to start right on the tips of it legs in a circular like patern.
