I prefer the original tbh, colours are a lot livelier as well as the dogs tongue is half black in the photoshopped image!

Pleaseeeee don't take this the wrong way -
The London ones seem like you're trying too hard to catch a decent picture. I find it hard to keep track of your good pictures because there are so many pictures of people just walking around which isn't particularly interesting. From the recent ones you've posted, I probably like the girl sitting on the wall on the riverbank one the best. It's a little bit different from the others which makes it interesting.

The Philippine ones had a different vibe, yes, but it seemed like it came easier to you. I think I even preferred the processing too! Even in the last one, you might have overdone something as there is some haloing going on around her legs and hair.

Or maybe it is, as you say, because I'm a Londoner and I see it every day?
I don't feel like I'm qualified to make these sort of comments as I take a whole load of pictures similar to yours. I just don't post them! :)

Yup, just having looked through the Philippines set again, pretty much all of them rock.

Hiya. im not taking it the wrong way. the reason why i ask is because i want to improve and learn from my mistakes :)

I think its the place as well that i took pics in phili, i took some of those pics in phili from a very crouded market with lots going on and yesterday those pics were taken down the road near london bridge lol

Edit... Oh wait people don't like plain appreciation of pictures. I'll try and explain when I have more time at lunch :)

masking and blurring the OOF stuff by yourself as post processing rather than using the right lens first time around.

Also with the huge variation in distance from the camera in the image references, it would be hell to get the blurring done accurately.

As a rule of thumb, I generally only soften OOF areas if the bokeh has nasty fringing or outlining, rather than actually contribute to shallow DOF
 
The photos in this post are GOOD and BAD.


BAD for my 2Mb broadband that is! :D

I may have to upgrade to 10 Mb or more, only had time to look at a few pages so far. Would take weeks to view all photos on this post. :o

When I get round to sorting it out I will view all photos and maybe post a few of my own, but their not as good as on here. My moon photos almost look like I used my mobile phone! LOL!

Thank god I don't have orange or talktalk broadband, probably hit my fair usage limit after 3 pages. ;)
